Design Manager – Residential / RIBA Stages 1–5 📍 Rainham, Essex (RM13) 💰 £300 – £400 per day 📅 Start: 2nd June 2026 📄 3 Month Contract (Temp to Perm Potential) ⏰ 40 hours per week JML are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join a major residential construction programme in Rainham. You’ll be working across multiple projects, taking schemes from early design through to construction delivery, within a fast-paced main contractor environment. 🔧 What You’ll Be Doing * Managing design delivery from RIBA Stages 1–5 * Leading PCSA and pre-construction design coordination * Coordinating subcontractor design packages and technical submissions * Supporting planning, Building Control and BSR requirements * Managing design information through technical and construction stages * Working closely with commercial and delivery teams across live projects 👤 What We’re Looking For * Experience as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator * Strong knowledge of RIBA stages 1–5 * Background in residential or mixed-use construction projects * Experience managing design coordination across multiple disciplines * Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations * Confident working with consultants, subcontractors and site teams ⭐ Nice to Have * Main contractor or developer experience * Exposure to PCSA / pre-construction stages * Experience with Building Safety Regulator (BSR) processes * Large-scale residential project experience If you’re an experienced Design Manager looking for your next contract, apply today with your up to date CV
