Class 1 HGV Driver – Coventry

Location: Prologis Park, Coventry, CV6 Contract: Ongoing Agency / Temp to Perm Shifts: Days, Nights & Weekends Pay: £15.45 – £22.55 per hour PAYE Only 365 People are recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for an established transport operation based at Prologis Park in Coventry. We have ongoing work available across a 24-hour operation, with a variety of start times and Temp to Perm opportunities available for the right drivers. Pay Rates Monday to Friday Days: £15.45 per hour basic / £17.31 including holiday pay Monday to Friday Nights: £16.34 per hour basic / £18.31 including holiday pay Saturday: £18.38 per hour basic / £20.60 including holiday pay Sunday & Bank Holidays: £20.12 per hour basic / £22.55 including holiday pay Night Out Allowance: £25.00 Day rate applies between 06:00 and 17:59. Night rate applies between 18:00 and 05:59. The Role As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be completing depot-to-depot trunking across the UK. Duties will include: * Class 1 depot-to-depot trunking * Live loading and trailer swaps * No handball * Various UK routes * Occasional night-out runs to Scotland * Operating a modern fleet, including gas-powered vehicles The operation runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with days, nights and weekend shifts available. Start times are available throughout the day and night, with particular demand for drivers available for 13:00–23:00 start times. Requirements To be considered, you must have: * Minimum 12 months' Class 1 (C+E) driving experience * Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence * Valid Driver CPC * Valid Digital Tachograph Card * Maximum 6 points for minor offences * Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time regulations * Reliable and professional approach to work This position is PAYE only. LTD drivers cannot be accepted. Induction & Training No formal driving assessment is required. All successful drivers will complete a paid on-site induction before starting. Gas vehicle training and operating procedures will also be provided during induction by the on-site Driver Mentor
