In this role, the successful Metal/Tool/Assembly Fitter or similar will be responsible for the manual grinding and polishing of tooling inserts. In addition, you will also be responsible for the fitting of said inserts and shutting off tool halves, alongside the assembly and disassembly of mould tools. On top of this, you will also be responsible for reading and interpreting both 2D and 3D engineering drawings, as well as using a variety of measuring equipment, including, but not limited to: verniers, micrometres, gauge blocks etc You will also be responsible for drilling cooling channels as well as finishing mould components. Finally, you will keep accurate technical documentation of any projects worked.
The ideal Metal/Tool/Assembly Finisher or similar will ideally come from a background within the benchwork/carpentry/machining/tooling/precision engineering or a related field. In addition, you will also have previous working of both manual grinding and milling. On top of this, you will also have strong organisational and communicational skills, with the ability to work both as part of a team as well as autonomously. Finally, you will take pride in completing and checking high quality work.

Previous working of both manual grinding and milling
Ability to work both as part of a team as well as autonomously
