Contracts Manager
£95,000 - £105,000 Per Annum + Package
Central London
We are working with a Major Tier One Civil Engineering contractor, who are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to take ownership of the main contract relationship on a major infrastructure programme. This role will focus on NEC contract management, governance, compliance, auditing and change control, ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed both upstream with the client and downstream throughout the supply chain.
What You'll Be Doing
* Acting as the lead on the administration and management of NEC contracts, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.
* Managing governance, assurance and audit activities across the project.
* Reviewing client changes and assessing their contractual and commercial impact.
* Leading the management of Early Warnings, Compensation Events and contractual notices.
* Overseeing project change control processes and maintaining robust contractual records.
* Reviewing procurement and subcontract agreements to ensure downstream contracts align with the main contract.
* Implementing cost assurance and compliance processes to minimise disallowed cost and commercial risk.
* Supporting dispute avoidance, negotiation and resolution activities.
* Producing contractual reports and updates for senior leadership and JV stakeholders.
* Providing expert contractual guidance to project, commercial and procurement teams.
What You'll Need
* Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract management experience within rail, civils, infrastructure or major projects.
* Proven background in governance, compliance, contract assurance and auditing.
* Experience managing both upstream client contracts and downstream subcontractor agreements.
* Strong understanding of procurement, contract administration and change management processes.
* Experience assessing Compensation Events, contractual risk and entitlement.
* Knowledge of dispute resolution and contract law principles.
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide clear contractual advice.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Law, Commercial Management or a related discipline
