Skills and Competencies5+ years of credit/risk assessment experience, with a proven track record in fund finance, asset management, or structured financeDemonstrated understanding of asset management and fund finance sectors, including key players, and industry driversExcellent communication skills, with demonstrated public speaking and writing experienceStrong quantitative aptitude and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modellingHighly organized and efficient, with the ability to multi-task and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesCommitment to ongoing professional development and learningBasic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiencyInterest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical useEducationMaster's in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent advanced qualificationCFA/CAIA professional qualification would be highly beneficialResponsibilitiesLead the analysis for assigning both new and surveillance ratings to fund finance transactions, including rated note feeders, subscription credit facilities, net asset value loans, and asset-backed lending facilities.Manage a portfolio of Funds and Asset Managers with responsibility for ongoing surveillance, credit assessments, and presentation of recommendations to rating committeesBuild and maintain strong relationships with fund sponsors, lenders and arrangers to support analytical excellence and market insightRepresent Moody’s Ratings as a thought leader by presenting at industry conferences, webinars and podcasts, and authoring sector commentsCollaborate with teams across Moody’s Ratings to drive excellence in our credit analysisContribute to methodology and technology development projects to enhance our analytical capabilities and efficiencyMentor and coach junior rating analysts, supporting their professional growth and credit skills developmentAbout the TeamOur Funds and Asset Management team is responsible for delivering high-quality credit ratings and research, enhancing market transparency, supporting investor decision-making, and expanding our brand as a trusted source of credit insight.
