Systems EngineerLocation: GloucesterThis is an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Gloucester. Working on cutting-edge aerospace programmes, you will play a key role in the development, analysis and validation of aircraft landing gear systems, supporting everything from research and technology projects through to full product development and in-service support.This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a passion for systems analysis, simulation, integration, performance and dynamics to contribute to innovative solutions within a highly regulated and technically challenging environment.What You'll Be DoingAs a Systems Engineer, you will work across complex mechanical and hydraulic aircraft systems, helping to ensure products meet performance, safety and certification requirements throughout the development lifecycle.Key responsibilities include:Developing computational models and conducting system simulationsPerforming static and dynamic load calculationsConducting performance, frequency response, modal and stability analysesInvestigating shimmy behaviour and failure scenariosCorrelating and validating models against test dataDefining and validating system performance requirementsCreating simulation test cases and establishing pass/fail criteriaCollaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to optimise system designsSupporting test activities and interpreting resultsEnsuring delivery against programme schedules, quality standards and cost targetsWhat We're Looking ForEssential Skills & ExperienceDegree (or equivalent qualification) in an Engineering disciplineExperience in systems modelling, analysis and simulationKnowledge of landing gear extension and retraction systemsExperience analysing shock absorber performanceUnderstanding of recoil analysis, system loads generation and model integrationExperience conducting shimmy and stability analysisProficiency in industry-standard tools such as: MATLAB/SimulinkMSC ADAMSAMESimStrong understanding of mechanical principles and dynamic system behaviourAbility to interpret requirements and translate them into robust engineering solutionsWhat's on Offer?Hybrid working arrangements.Opportunity to work on major aerospace development programmesThe chance to contribute to the design and development of world-class aerospace systemsApply today to be part of a team delivering excellence in Systems Integration & Test.This vacancy is being advertised by Belcan
