Impact the Future of Forensic Mental Health
Are you an experienced Psychologist passionate about trauma-informed care and neurodiversity? Join our Integrated Mental Health Team at HMP Gartree, a Category B prison. With a unique populationincluding a high proportion of men aged 40+this role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop bespoke psychological services alongside an established Psychotherapist and a dedicated multi-disciplinary team.
The Role: Clinical Leadership & Specialist Care
As a Senior Psychologist, you will be a clinical pillar within the site, responsible for:
- Clinical Oversight: Providing training, supervision, and reflective practice for the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT).
- Specialist Interventions: Delivering 1:1 and group sessions via our trauma-informed 'Making Sense' programme.
- Complex Formulations: Leading psychological assessments and supporting multi-disciplinary teams in understanding complex adult mental health presentations.
- Service Development: Contributing to audits, research, and teaching to ensure healthcare excellence across the site.
What Youll Bring
- Qualifications: Qualified Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist with HCPC registration.
- Therapeutic Expertise: Postgraduate training in at least one specific modality relevant to severe, long-standing mental health difficulties.
- Experience: A proven track record in evidence-based interventions and working within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Approach: A deep familiarity with trauma-informed practice and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
