Payroll Specialist

Portfolio are pleased to be working in partnership with a great new client - they are on the hunt for a confident, experienced Payroll Specialist ready to take full ownership of our UK payroll function. If you're the kind of person who can run payroll end‑to‑end with precision, solve problems before they land, and thrive as the go‑to expert in a standalone role, this is your next challenge. You'll manage every stage of the payroll cycle, weekly and monthly, from data collection and validation through to gross‑to‑net calculations, statutory payments, deductions, RTI submissions, pensions, and year‑end reporting. You'll be the person who ensures accuracy, compliance, and calm, even when deadlines compete. As the payroll lead, you'll also support HR operations, helping shape processes, data structures, and reporting from the ground up.
