Job Title: School Premises Assistant Location: Camberwell, South London Setting: School Pay Rate: £20 per hour Hours: 35 hours per week Contract: Long-term Working Pattern: 10:30am – 6:30pm (1-hour break) Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are recruiting for an experienced School Premises Assistant to join a school in Camberwell, South London, on a long-term basis. This is a key site-based role supporting the daily operation, safety, and security of the school premises, working closely with the Premises Manager. Key Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Premises Manager Locking up the school site and facilities at the end of the day Managing and handling deliveries across a three-floor building Supporting with general site maintenance and day-to-day premises duties Carrying out health & safety checks and ensuring compliance Setting up rooms and facilities as required Using computers, email, and Google Calendar to manage jobs and tasks Communicating effectively with staff and external contractorsEssential Requirements Previous experience working as a Premises Assistant in a school (essential) Comfortable working in a multi-floor building and handling deliveries Confident using IT systems, including email and Google Calendar Good awareness of health & safety procedures Reliable, organised, and able to work independently Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)What’s on Offer £20 per hour Stable, long-term role Consistent working hours (35 hours per week) Supportive management and team environmentHow to Apply If you are an experienced School Premises Assistant available to start immediately and interested in a long-term role in Camberwell, please apply by emailing your CV to: (url removed)
