Smart Home & AV CAD Designer London (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days office based) £35,000 - £45,000 + training + progression Luxury residential and super prime projects The Opportunity We're working with a leading high end AV integrator delivering bespoke smart home systems into some of the most exclusive residential properties in London. This is a design led role where your CAD work directly shapes multi million pound homes, from luxury apartments to private estates. You will be designing fully integrated smart home systems covering lighting, shading, cinema, AV and automation. This is not an install or sales role. It is pure technical design and system layout work. What You'll Be Doing * Producing detailed CAD drawings for smart home and AV systems * Designing lighting control, shading, cinema and whole home automation layouts * Creating schematics, elevations, rack layouts and GA drawings * Translating client requirements into fully engineered system designs * Working with project managers, engineers and consultants * Specifying AV, lighting, control and automation equipment * Supporting projects through design, install and commissioning stages * Ensuring accuracy, consistency and high end design standards across all drawings What We're Looking For * At least 2 years of experience in AV, smart home or residential system design * Strong AutoCAD skills * Good understanding of smart home or AV integration systems * Experience in high end residential or luxury property projects preferred * Strong attention to detail and design accuracy * Comfortable working with technical and non technical stakeholders * Ability to manage multiple live projects at once Bonus Experience * Control4, Crestron or Lutron knowledge * Lighting or shading design experience * Super prime residential AV exposure Package * £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience * Hybrid working (2-3 days in office per week) * Full training and development support * Exposure to leading smart home technologies * Clear progression into senior design or technical lead roles * Work on some of the UK's most exclusive residential projects Why This Role This is a chance to move beyond standard CAD work into high end smart home design where architecture, technology and luxury living meet.
