Location: Thorney Island, Portsmouth
At Blue Arrow Southampton, we're looking for talented Chef de Parties to join our team supporting a busy contract catering operation on a military site in Thorney Island.
This is a great opportunity for chefs who enjoy structure, consistency, and high standards, while still developing their skills in a professional kitchen environment. Whether you're looking for steady work or additional shifts to boost your income, this role offers both flexibility and variety.

What you'll be doing
Running your section confidently during prep and service
Preparing, cooking, and presenting meals to a high standard within a structured catering operation
Delivering consistent food quality across a range of service styles, including bulk catering and specialist dietary requirements
Supporting junior team members, including Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety at all times
Monitoring portion control, minimising waste, and working efficiently
Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
What we're looking for
Experience working as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready to step up
Ability to run a section independently and stay organised under pressure
A team-focused approach with the confidence to support and guide others
Solid understanding of food safety, including HACCP
Consistent delivery of quality food in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Flexibility to adapt within a structured, contract catering environment
