HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician Location: Radlett Salary: £40,000 Basic Salary + Overtime Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm Overtime: Paid at Time and a Half We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy and growing workshop based in Radlett. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician, HGV Mechanic or LGV Technician looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with excellent earning potential through overtime. This position offers a varied workload, working across HGVs, commercial vehicles, vans and cars carrying out servicing, diagnostics, mechanical repairs, fault finding, inspections and maintenance. The successful candidate will be confident working on engines, brakes, suspension, clutches, gearboxes, electrical systems and general vehicle repairs. The ideal candidate will come from an HGV, PSV, LCV or automotive background and hold a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent. Previous experience as an HGV Fitter, Truck Technician, Fleet Technician, Van Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic would be highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities: * Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work on HGVs, vans and cars * Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment * Completing inspections, safety checks and MOT preparation * Working on engines, transmissions, braking systems and suspension * Performing routine maintenance and reactive repair work * Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard * Following health and safety procedures within the workshop Requirements: * Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification essential * Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, Vehicle Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities * Experience working on a variety of vehicle types including HGVs and vans * Ability to work independently and within a team environment * Full UK Driving Licence preferred Benefits: * £40,000 basic salary * Monday to Friday working pattern * Overtime available paid at time and a half * Stable long-term opportunity * Busy workshop with varied workload * Supportive team environment * Excellent opportunity for career progression and further development This role would suit candidates searching for HGV Technician jobs, Commercial Vehicle Technician jobs, HGV Mechanic jobs, Truck Technician jobs, Fleet Technician jobs, LGV Technician jobs or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic jobs in the Radlett, Watford, St Albans, Borehamwood and Hertfordshire areas
