Senior Residential Care Worker Children’s Residential Home – 2 Bed Salary: £35,865 per annum Full-Time | 2 on 4 off rota This is more than a job – it’s a chance to be part of something special We are proud of our 2 bed children’ homes in Stevenage, designed to provide a safe home and an environment which encourages positive growth and development. for children and young people up to the age of 16. We are recruiting passionate and experienced Senior Residential Care orkers to join us an strengthen our team and help shape the culture, standards, and future of the home. Why Join Us? * Help shape the ethos, routines, and values of the home * Work alongside supportive, values-driven leadership * Make a genuine, long-term difference to children’s lives The Role As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital leadership role within the home and support the Registered and Deputy Managers to deliver outstanding care. You will: * Act as a positive role model and shift leader for the team * Create a warm, safe, and stable home environment * Support children and young people with daily routines, education, appointments, and activities * Take key-worker responsibility and contribute to care planning and reviews * Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to support behaviour * Build strong relationships with families, social workers, and professionals * Ensure safeguarding, recording, and handovers meet high standards About You We are looking for individuals who: * Are passionate about residential childcare and child-centred care * Are calm, resilient, and emotionally intelligent * Enjoy leading, supporting, and developing others * Have strong communication and written skills * Want to grow with a new service and be part of its journey Essential Requirements * Minimum age: 22 years * Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting * Ability to work rota-based shifts including sleep ins * Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare * Hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Children and Young People’s Workforce.
