Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a large PLC housebuilder in Basingstoke for an initial four-month contract, with the potential to extend. You will support the commercial delivery of complex new-build residential developments, bringing strong technical knowledge and the ability to work confidently at the speed and pace expected within a volume housebuilding environment. Key responsibilities will include: * Managing subcontractor procurement, accounts and payments. * Preparing cost reports, valuations and financial forecasts. * Managing variations, identifying commercial risks and maintaining cost control. * Working closely with site teams and the wider commercial team to keep developments progressing against programme and budget. You must have proven experience delivering new-build residential schemes at Senior Quantity Surveyor level, ideally within a large PLC housebuilder. A clear understanding of the complexities of these developments, strong commercial judgement and the ability to take ownership of your workload are essential.
