Role Description
Bank of America’s EMEA Consumer & Retail Investment Banking team, based in London, is looking for a strong and experienced Vice President to join the team. The team covers a large number of well‑known clients in the Consumer and Retail sectors including Beverage, Food, Home & Personal Care, Tobacco, Apparel & Luxury, Food Retail, Specialty Retail, Foodservice & Restaurants, and rapidly growing digital commerce and food and beverage technology companies. The Vice President will participate in the full cycle of coverage and transaction execution, contributing to idea generation and covering all traditional Investment Banking products (M&A, Debt, Equity). The team collaborates with 90+ professionals across global hubs including New York, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney and SaoPaulo.
Responsibilities
- Support origination and execution of M&A transactions and equity and debt financings on a broad scope of assignments within the Consumer & Retail industry.
- Assist senior bankers in day‑to‑day client coverage, providing leadership and direction on the execution of transactions.
- Formulate and develop client pitch books and analyses to support client coverage activities.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Lead client coverage for smaller accounts.
- Make an immediate contribution by driving results with limited guidance.
Qualifications
- Requisite years of Investment Banking experience, ideally with Consumer & Retail exposure.
- Professional maturity to interact directly with clients and drive origination and execution.
- Self‑motivated and driven, with strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
- High attention to detail, diligence, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and commercial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working independently and with multiple teams.
- Fluency in English (essential) and a second European language (a plus).
