Legionella Risk Assessor Location: Bristol and surrounding areas Salary: £33,000 – £37,000 + Paid Overtime Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Legionella Risk Assessor Opportunity Our client is a growing compliance and water hygiene specialist delivering professional Legionella control services across commercial and industrial environments. They are looking to recruit an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to cover Bristol and the surrounding areas. Applicants should ideally be based within easy reach of the M4 corridor. The successful Legionella Risk Assessor will manage their own regional workload while working closely with an established Water Hygiene Team. The Role As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will carry out detailed and compliant Legionella risk assessments across a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial sites. All assessments will be completed in line with ACOP L8, HSG274 Parts 1–3 and internal company standards. You will inspect water systems, identify potential risks and produce clear recommendations that help clients manage and reduce Legionella risk. You will also act as a trusted advisor, clearly explaining your findings and supporting clients with their longer-term water safety strategies. Responsibilities * Carry out Legionella risk assessments across commercial and industrial sites. * Complete assessments in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274 Parts 1–3. * Identify water system risks and provide practical control recommendations. * Conduct inspections, temperature profiling, flow testing and asset evaluations. * Review, produce and update water system schematics. * Produce detailed, audit-ready reports with photographic evidence. * Explain findings and recommendations clearly to clients. * Support clients with Legionella control and long-term water safety strategies. * Manage site visits and workload across Bristol and surrounding areas. * Complete reports within agreed SLA timescales. Requirements * Minimum two years’ experience carrying out Legionella risk assessments. * Experience working across commercial and industrial environments. * Advanced technical knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274 Parts 1–3. * Ability to interpret guidance across varied water system types. * Proven experience producing comprehensive, audit-ready reports. * Confident communicating technical findings and recommendations to clients. * Recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification, such as City & Guilds or equivalent. * Full UK driving licence and the ability to manage a regional workload independently.
