DT/Food Technician Location: Newham, London Contract Type: Full-time Start Date: Immediate A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated and organised DT/Food Technician to support our thriving Design & Technology and Food departments. About the Role As a DT/Food Technician, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning by preparing materials, equipment, and ingredients for practical lessons. You will ensure that all resources are ready for use, while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and set up equipment, tools, and ingredients for lessons Support teachers and students during practical sessions Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene Clean and store equipment after use Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies Ensure all workspaces meet safety and compliance requirementsAbout You Organised, proactive, and able to manage time effectively Strong awareness of health and safety practices, particularly in food preparation Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good communication skills and a willingness to support students Previous experience in a school or similar environment is desirable but not essentialWhy Join Us?
