A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Intellectual Property Solicitor to join a growing Dundee-based team advising on a wide range of IP and commercial matters. This role offers exposure to diverse sectors, from innovative start-ups to established international businesses, supporting clients in protecting and maximising the value of their ideas and brands.

This position is ideal for a Solicitor looking to develop specialist expertise in IP while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The role

As an Intellectual Property Solicitor in Dundee, you will advise clients on a broad range of IP matters including trademarks, copyright, design rights and commercialisation strategies.

Your work will include drafting and negotiating commercial agreements such as licensing, confidentiality and software contracts, alongside advising on IP protection, portfolio management and enforcement. You will also support clients on infringement issues, ownership disputes and wider commercial matters.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across different practice areas, ensuring clients receive joined-up, commercially focused advice.

About you

This role would suit an Intellectual Property Solicitor who:

• 
  
• Has 2–4 years’ PQE (or similar experience) in IP and/or commercial law
• Has experience or a strong interest in trademarks, branding or tech-driven work
• Communicates clearly and builds lasting client relationships
• Has excellent drafting and analytical skills
• Is commercially minded and solution-focused
• Is proactive and keen to be involved in business development
