Enlightenment Education is recruiting a caring, reliable and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a post-16 student with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at a Training Provider in Derby.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs, helping them develop their confidence, independence and essential skills for adulthood.
The successful candidate will provide individual support across Maths, English and Work Skills, helping the student engage with learning activities and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a post-16 student with SEND.
Support learning activities across Maths, English and Work Skills.
Adapt support to meet the student's individual learning needs.
Encourage independence, confidence and engagement.
Build a positive, supportive relationship with the student.
Promote safeguarding, inclusion and positive behaviour at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
Is patient, approachable, reliable and professional.
Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Can adapt their approach to meet individual needs.
Is passionate about helping young people reach their potential.
Previous experience in a school, college, alternative provision or specialist SEND setting would be advantageous.
