The Business Development Manager will provide account management and business development services to independent businesses across the North East region, maximising sales opportunities. Working remotely, you will be developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers
The successful Business Development Manager (North East) will receive benefits including an quarterly sales bonus; 26 days’ holidays plus Bank Holidays; life assurance; contributory pension scheme; buy/sell holiday scheme; a company car, phone and laptop.
Responsibilities:
* Identify sales opportunities through referrals, leads, networking and prospecting
* Drive company growth by acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and identifying new market opportunities
* Achieve set sales targets through strategic networking, presentations and market research
* Overcoming objections, negotiating terms and contracts
* Provide updates and act on market changes
* Report weekly and monthly sales activities to Head Office, ensuring an open and transparent communication channel
* Organise and attend sales seminars
* Deliver comprehensive training to customers on new products coming to market and also on product updates
* Keep up to date on technical product knowledge, both through conducting own research and attending training sessions at the Head Office as required
Experience required:
* Minimum 3 years’ B2B sales experience, ideally gained in a field-based role
* Experience within medical sales, pharmaceutical sales or technology sales is preferred
* Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
* Communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations in a factual and engaging manner
* Excellent listening and negotiation skills – able to effectively overcome objections and provide solutions
* Ability to self-manage whilst working to KPIs and targets
* Strong business acumen with the credibility to make recommendations to business customers
