Job title: Commodity Manager Procurement Location Leicester Salary: £65,000 The Opportunity We’re hiring a commercially sharp Commodity Manager to take ownership of key categories and drive real impact across the companies supply chain. What You’ll Be Doing * Own and deliver category strategies that drive value and secure supply * Stay ahead of the market — track commodity trends, pricing, and risk * Lead supplier negotiations and contracts to get the best commercial outcomes * Drive cost savings and efficiencies across your categories * Build strong, strategic supplier partnerships * Run tenders and continuously improve supplier performance * Play a key role in budgeting and managing Purchase Price Variance (PPV) * Collaborate across the business to deliver commercial and operational wins * Support ESG goals within the supply chain * Mentor team members and help raise the bar across procurement What You’ll Bring * 5+ years’ experience in commodity procurement (food manufacturing is a big plus) * Strong commercial instinct and confident negotiation skills * Solid understanding of global supply markets and risk management * Experience managing suppliers and driving performance * Analytical mindset — comfortable working with data and insights * ERP/MRP system experience * Ability to influence, challenge, and deliver results * A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on solutions Why This Role? * Real ownership and autonomy * Opportunity to shape strategy, not just execute it * A fast-moving, collaborative environment * The chance to make a visible impact on business performance
