Quality Inspector (Machining / Heavy Engineering) Glasgow | Circa £37,000 | Day Shift The Role We are working with an established engineering business who are looking to bring in a Quality Inspector to support inspection activities across machined components. This is a hands-on role, focused on dimensional inspection, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring components meet required specifications. What you'll be doing: Inspecting machined components against engineering drawings Recording measurements and completing inspection reports Identifying and documenting non-conformances (NCR process) Working with a range of metrology equipment Supporting quality standards across the shop floorWhat we're looking for: Time served within an engineering environment Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar inspection role Strong experience using metrology equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience in a machining or heavy engineering environmentDesirable: Exposure to CMM Awareness of NDE processesWhat's on offer: Competitive salary Bonus scheme 33 days holiday Pension and life cover Ongoing development opportunitiesYou must have the right to work in the UK and be able to obtain security clearance
