About the role

Precision Field Service Engineer Based within 1 hour of Nottingham Willingness to travel extensively across the UK (primarily South), as well as Ireland and parts of Europe Installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of advanced industrial equipment and associated systems Delivering high-quality customer training on equipment operation and maintenance Carrying out rigorous fault finding using first-principles approaches to achieve first-time fixes Actively contributing to knowledge sharing across the engineering team to improve overall service capability Supporting customers with spare parts identification and explaining technical requirements where needed Promoting and recommending service agreements, clearly communicating their value to customers Reporting customer feedback and service outcomes back to internal teams Working to key performance metrics such as service quality and customer satisfaction Supporting wider regional operations with installations and breakdowns when required Experience / Skills / Qualifications HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, with strong mechanical aptitude Ability to diagnose and solve problems using first principles Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering excellent service Minimum of 3 years' experience installing and servicing industrial equipment Electrically biased (approx. 60%) with solid mechanical understanding (40%) Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Full, clean driving licence Background Field Service Engineering experience within industrial or manufacturing environments Electrically biased role with a mix of mechanical responsibilities Team-based engineering structure with regional coverage Package & Benefits Basic Salary: £40,000 Overtime / Shift Allowance available Annual bonus + seasonal incentives Company vehicle and phone provided Pension Life Insurance included Working Hours & Benefits Average 45 hours per week (typically up to 48) Day shift pattern 25 days holiday + bank holidays Approximately 1 overnight stay per week UK-wide travel with occasional European travel
