About the Role About the RoleThe Reader will make significant contributions to the intellectual life of the School and teach and research in the fields of Public Law (including human rights) and/or criminal law. They will deliver high quality teaching which enhances student experience, as well as contributing as a senior academic leadership within the School.The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full-time, permanent appointment, with a start date as soon as possible but at the latest by 1st January 2027. About YouYou will have a PhD in Law, or relevant professional qualification, or equivalent professional experience, and a track-record of high-quality research in the field of Public Law/Human Rights/Criminal Law, including publications in national and international journals, with clear and ambitious plans for future research. You will have evidence the development and delivery of research-led teaching and assessment at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level and an understanding of student support. A higher education teaching accreditation is desirable.About the SchoolThe School of Law is one of five schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and has two organisational units: the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS).
