Warehouse Team Leader – Bedford Location: Bedford Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour Contract: Temp to Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the normal hourly rate We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join a busy operation in Bedford on a temp-to-permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous warehouse and team leadership experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and secure a permanent position. The Role As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation and helping to ensure the team works safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include: * Leading and supporting a team of warehouse operatives * Allocating daily workloads and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently * Monitoring productivity, quality and performance * Supporting the smooth running of day-to-day warehouse operations * Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed * Training, supporting and motivating team members * Assisting with general warehouse duties when required * Reporting any operational issues to management * Helping maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment Requirements * Previous warehouse team leader, supervisor or similar experience * Good communication and organisational skills * Ability to lead, motivate and support a team * A proactive and reliable approach to work * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * FLT experience/licence is advantageous but not essential Benefits * Temp-to-permanent opportunity * Monday to Friday working hours * £16.00 per hour * Overtime paid at 1.5x * 22 days' annual leave on permanent contract * Holiday entitlement increases by 1 additional day per year served, up to 3 additional days * Further permanent benefits to be confirmed If you have previous warehouse leadership experience and are looking for a long-term opportunity, we would love to hear from you
