We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Key Account Manager to help grow our market presence, strengthen customer relationships, and drive specification sales across the UK.
The Role
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for securing specifications and sales of Muraspec products while delivering against volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
This is a dynamic field-based role where you will develop existing client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and work closely with customers across the specification and interiors market.
You’ll spend the majority of your week meeting customers, building networks, managing projects, and ensuring outstanding service delivery from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow sales within targeted key accounts
Build strong relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and specifiers
Identify and win new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and prospecting
Maintain and update the sales project database daily
Deliver persuasive product presentations and specification meetings
Manage tactical customer development plans
Solve on-site technical challenges and make sound commercial decisions
Implement company sales and marketing strategies effectively
Plan customer visits and journeys efficiently to maximise territory coverage
Requirements
Essential
Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the specification sales industry
Strong account management and business development experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Effective territory and diary management
Results-driven, self-motivated, and commercially aware
Strong relationship-building and networking skills
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel extensively across the UK with regular overnight stays required
Desirable
Experience within interior finishes, wallcoverings, or related sectors
Experience working with architects, designers, and contractors
Strong planning, analytical, and project management abilities
