About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Manager to oversee and optimise our transport operations based in Lutterworth. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective fleet management. The successful candidate must be fluent in Mandarin to support communication with international stakeholders, partners, and drivers. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery performance * Ensure full compliance with UK transport legislation, including Operator Licence requirements and driver hours regulations * Oversee fleet management, maintenance schedules, and vehicle utilisation * Lead, coach, and develop a team of drivers and transport staff * Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data, and implement continuous improvements * Manage transport budgets, costs, and fuel efficiency initiatives * Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operational flow * Act as the primary point of contact for Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and partners * Maintain high standards of health & safety across all transport activities Requirements * Proven experience as a Transport Manager within a logistics or distribution environment * Valid Transport Manager CPC (essential) * Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance * Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) * Experience managing drivers, fleet operations, and transport planning * Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills * Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment Desirable * Experience within a high-volume distribution or 3PL environment * Knowledge of transport management systems (TMS) * Experience working with international supply chains What We Offer * Competitive salary of £45,000 – £55,000 * Flexible/negotiable working hours * Opportunity to play a key role in a growing logistics operation * Supportive and collaborative working environment
