Psychologist - Pulmonary Rehab (Community Classes) £500.00 per day | 1 day per week (3 weeks on, 3 weeks off) | Fully Remote Overview I am currently recruiting for a Psychologist to work with my client in Torbay. This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start available. The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Psychologist is responsible for delivering and supporting the psychological components of a structured 6-week community-based pulmonary rehabilitation programme for patients with chronic respiratory conditions. The role focuses on improving patients' emotional wellbeing, coping strategies, and self-management, helping them to better manage the psychological impact of long-term respiratory disease. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and evaluate the psychological support elements of a 6-week pulmonary rehabilitation course in a community setting Deliver group-based sessions focused on mental health, coping strategies, and adjustment to long-term conditions Provide evidence-based interventions (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy-informed approaches, relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and breathing control strategies) Support patients to manage anxiety related to breathlessness, panic, and activity avoidance Promote behaviour change, motivation, and adherence to rehabilitation programmes Work alongside the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, patient-centred care Identify and respond appropriately to psychological risk, including escalation where required Support patients in developing long-term self-management strategies and resilienceRequirements HCPC Registered Doctoral-level qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Health Psychology (or HCPC-recognised equivalent) Chartered status (desirable) with the British Psychological SocietyWhat's on offer £500 per day 1 day per week - 3 weeks out of 6.
