Operations Manager
- Salary: £40,000–£50,000, depending on experience
- Location: London
- Working pattern: Hybrid – four days in the office and one day working from home
- Employment type: Full-time
The organisation
Our client is a growing UK eLearning provider that creates accessible, bite-sized online training for individuals, employers and partner organisations.
The business develops its own learning technology and content, delivering effective training solutions across a range of sectors. It is now looking for an Operations Manager to strengthen its internal processes and lead a small team.
The opportunity
We are looking for an intelligent, inquisitive and improvement-focused Operations Manager to lead and support a team of approximately six to eight people.
You may already be working as an Operations Manager, or you might be an experienced Team Leader, Project Manager or Operations Executive ready to step into a broader management position.
You do not need to arrive with every answer. What matters is that you ask good questions, quickly understand how things work and identify practical ways to make them better.
You will help the team work efficiently, maintain high standards and deliver an excellent experience for clients and learners.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, support and develop a team of approximately six to eight employees.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure priorities are clearly understood.
- Allocate work effectively and monitor delivery against agreed deadlines and standards.
- Review existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and consistency.
- Introduce practical systems and ways of working that support the company’s growth.
- Establish and monitor relevant operational targets and performance measures.
- Resolve operational issues and remove barriers affecting the team.
- Encourage accountability, collaboration and open communication.
- Coordinate activity across different teams and business priorities.
- Support the successful onboarding and delivery of client projects.
- Produce clear operational updates and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Help create a positive culture centred on learning, curiosity and continuous improvement.
About you
- Experience coordinating people, projects, services or business operations.
- Some previous team leadership or management experience, whether formal or informal.
- Intelligent and naturally curious, with the confidence to question how things are done.
- Genuinely passionate about improving processes and performance.
- Able to turn ideas into practical actions and measurable improvements.
- Highly organised and comfortable managing several priorities at once.
- A clear and confident communicator who can bring people with them.
- Comfortable taking ownership and making sensible decisions.
- Calm, adaptable and solutions-focused when challenges arise.
- Confident using data and feedback to understand performance.
- Experience within eLearning, education, technology or professional services would be helpful but is not essential.
Why apply?
This is a genuine opportunity to shape how a growing organisation operates. You will have the autonomy to introduce improvements, develop a talented small team and make a visible contribution to the company’s continued growth.
