Food Safety Officer

My client in the West Midlands are seeking an experienced Interim Food Safety Officer to support the Environmental Health team with delivery of the food safety function. Key Responsibilities * Carry out programmed and reactive food hygiene inspections across a range of food premises in line with the Food Law Code of Practice. * Undertake investigations into food complaints, food poisoning, and infectious disease notifications as required. * Provide advice and guidance to food business operators to support compliance with food safety legislation. * Prepare clear, accurate inspection reports, correspondence, and legal documentation where necessary. * Take proportionate enforcement action, including informal action and formal notices, in accordance with council procedures. * Maintain accurate records and update the relevant food safety database and documentation systems
