Assistant Quantity Surveyor
About the role
An Assistant Quantity Surveyor is required to support the commercial delivery of lifecycle replacement and variation projects across a varied portfolio in Gloucestershire.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you'll support procurement, contract administration, cost control and commercial reporting across multiple refurbishment and fit-out schemes.
The Role
As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll:
Support the commercial delivery of lifecycle replacement and variation schemes.
Assist with procurement, project validation, feasibility assessments and scope development.
Prepare and coordinate tender and contract documentation for project partners.
Administer contracts and support the valuation and assessment of variations.
Assist with cost control, forecasting, commercial reporting and client invoicing.
Maintain accurate project and commercial records across multiple schemes.
Support commercial audits, post-project reviews and continuous improvement.
Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders. About You
To be successful as the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll have:
A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a construction discipline.
Previous Quantity Surveying experience within a consultancy, contractor or client organisation.
Experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out or similar construction projects.
Working knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration.
Knowledge of construction methods, Building Regulations and health and safety requirements.
Strong numerical, analytical and Microsoft Excel skills with excellent attention to detail.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
Chartered status or progression towards RICS, CIOB, APM or CIBSE would be advantageous. What's in it for You?
