Community Dermatology Service General Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of dermatology conditions (e.g., eczema, acne, psoriasis, inflammatory and pigmentation issues)
• Conduct minor dermatological surgical procedures such as biopsies and cryotherapy
• Oversee referral triage from primary and secondary care and provide appropriate advice and guidance where clinically appropriate
• Work closely with GP colleagues and wider support staff in a high‑functioning team
• Collaborate with GPs, hospital dermatology, system partners and Care Group leadership to support service development in line with population need
• Assist with teaching and training of junior staff and medical students
• Participate in and support quality review activities including MDT meetings, audit, case reviews and quality investigations when required
• Duties reasonably expected of a GP working within primary care

Employment Details

All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction/initial training requirements of the role.
