Drivers Mate – Ashton Under Lyne – £13.05 per hour + Overtime Available
Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting for a Drivers Mate to work alongside our lorry drivers for a well-known client based in Ashton.
As a Drivers Mate, you will assist with the delivery of large household goods to residential properties. The items you will be delivering include flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods, and other bulky products. As a Drivers Mate, you will also be responsible for contacting customers ahead of delivery to provide estimated arrival times. Excellent communication, telephone manner, and customer service skills are essential, as you will be representing the client during every delivery.
You will also receive full training to become a Banksman, ensuring you are positioned safely outside the vehicle whenever the lorry is reversing to guide the driver and maintain site safety. Full training will be provided, and this forms an important part of the Drivers Mate role.
