£45,000–£50,000 pro rata
Can you bring order to a busy property portfolio and keep the right people talking? We are looking for an Interim Estates Manager to support community healthcare buildings, mainly across Liverpool and Merseyside. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, following through on actions and keeping buildings working well for the people who use them.
The opportunity
Working from home with occasional visits to properties and meetings, you will be the link between tenants, building users, facilities management providers, contractors and colleagues. You will coordinate maintenance and inspections, spot clashes before they cause disruption, and make sure concerns are addressed rather than left in an inbox. You will also support property compliance, lifecycle planning, risk reporting and communication with LIFTCo Boards and Head Tenants.
What you will do
Manage a busy estates inbox, respond to enquiries and keep a clear record of actions and decisions.
Coordinate planned and reactive works, minor repairs and inspections, keeping building users informed of timings, access needs and disruption.
Follow up overdue issues, challenge providers constructively and escalate urgent or recurring problems.
Bring together tenants, contractors and internal teams when priorities conflict, and find workable solutions.
Provide concise updates and reports on progress, property performance, compliance and risks.
What you will bring
Experience in estates, facilities or property management, with enough knowledge to ask the right questions about maintenance and statutory compliance.
Strong organisation and communication skills, including the ability to handle a high volume of emails and competing requests.
Confidence working with tenants, building users, contractors and service providers, including during difficult conversations.
A practical, independent approach; sound Microsoft Office skills; and a full driving licence with access to a car.
Healthcare, public-sector property, PFI, PPP or LIFT experience would be useful, but is not essential. Travel expenses will be paid.
