Recruiting Heads is recruiting two Occupational Health Nurses / Advisors for varied roles combining remote management referrals with onsite vaccination clinics across London.
You'll support employees with their health and wellbeing, advise managers on fitness for work and deliver vaccination services for healthcare staff and students. These positions offer a balance of clinical contact and advisory work, with opportunities to contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
Salary and working arrangements £42,000 per annum for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse without a formal OH qualification.
£45,000 per annum for an Occupational Health qualified Nurse / Advisor.
Permanent positions , combining home-based telephone and video assessments with onsite vaccination clinics in London.
What you'll be doing
Your role will combine two key areas of occupational health practice:
Management referrals and employee support Undertaking telephone and video assessments covering sickness absence, fitness for work and return-to-work support.
Managing cases from initial referral through to a sustained return to work, with follow-up where needed.
Producing clear, evidence-based reports with practical recommendations for managers.
Advising employees on maintaining their health and attendance at work.
Carrying out post-offer health assessments and participating in case conferences where appropriate.
Recognising physical or psychological concerns and arranging appropriate advice or signposting.
Vaccination and screening clinics Assessing vaccination and immunisation requirements for healthcare workers and students.
Administering vaccinations and carrying out phlebotomy.
Maintaining accurate clinical records and following the provider's vaccination, infection control and cold-chain procedures.
Delivering an organised, professional and welcoming onsite clinic service.
You'll also contribute to clinical governance, audit and service improvement, working within established policies and professional standards.
What we're looking for
You will need: Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
An Occupational Health qualification at Certificate, Diploma or Degree level, or significant experience in an occupational health setting.
The skills to undertake management referrals and provide clear, practical advice on fitness for work.
Relevant vaccination, immunisation and phlebotomy experience.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce accurate, useful management reports.
Good organisational and IT skills, including confidence with Microsoft Office and Teams.
The ability to work independently, manage your workload and contribute positively to a wider team.
The flexibility to attend vaccination clinics across London.
Support for your professional development
If you have relevant OH experience but do not yet hold a formal qualification, support and funding towards an OH qualification may be available after one year of satisfactory service . Supervision will be provided where needed to support the development of key skills.
