The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Health & Safety, the Health & Safety Advisor will play a key role in supporting project teams and driving a positive health and safety culture across live construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote the company’s health & safety ethos and culture at all levels, including subcontractors
* Ensure all working practices are compliant with current health & safety legislation
* Review subcontractor documentation, including Safe Systems of Work (RAMS)
* Support the development of health & safety strategies, policies, and procedures
* Lead and deliver health & safety initiatives across projects
* Assist in the delivery of in‑house health & safety training for managers and employees
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits
* Lead accident and incident investigations and reporting
About You
The successful Health & Safety Advisor will be able to demonstrate:
* Recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH / NCRQ / BSc or MSc in Safety)
* Proven experience in an operational Health & Safety Advisor role within construction
* Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
* Experience conducting accident and incident investigations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to positively influence site teams and work collaboratively
* Strong IT skills
* Valid CSCS Card
