Manufacturing Director - FMCG

Job Description: Teamwork Partnership are recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Director to lead multi-site manufacturing operations within a fast-paced, high-volume FMCG food manufacturing environment. This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for driving operational excellence, commercial performance, continuous improvement, and people leadership across production and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will act as a key member of the leadership team, ensuring all sites consistently deliver against quality, cost, service, and performance targets. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership * Lead manufacturing operations across production and warehouse functions * Drive operational performance and execution excellence across all sites * Ensure delivery of high-volume ambient food production targets * Maintain strong shop floor presence and visible leadership Retailer & Customer Focus * Work closely with major UK supermarkets to deliver quality, service, and cost targets * Support commercial teams with operational insight and feasibility planning * Ensure customer requirements and promotional demands are achieved Continuous Improvement * Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across all manufacturing operations * Deliver efficiency gains across labour, waste, yield, and downtime * Implement lean manufacturing principles and KPI ownership Leadership & Team Development * Lead and develop senior operational leadership teams * Build a strong performance culture with accountability and engagement * Coach and develop operational managers and site leaders Compliance & Standards * Ensure compliance with BRC, food safety, hygiene, and HSE standards * Maintain retailer audit standards and operational controls * Oversee risk management and incident resolution processes Requirements ✔ Proven experience as a Manufacturing Director / Operations Director / Head of Operations within FMCG manufacturing ✔ Strong experience managing multi-site manufacturing operations ✔ Experience working with major UK retailers and supermarket accounts ✔ Background within high-volume ambient food manufacturing ✔ Strong commercial and operational understanding ✔ Proven track record leading operational transformation and CI programmes ✔ Hands-on leadership style with strong people management capability Desirable Experience * Ethnic food manufacturing experience * Lean manufacturing / CI methodology experience * Warehouse and supply chain operational leadership What’s on Offer Salary up to £90,000 per annum Great benefits package Senior leadership opportunity Dynamic FMCG manufacturing environment Benefits: * Company pension * Free parking * On-site parking * Private medical insurance Work Location: In person
