Role: Engineering Apprentice (Mechanical/Electrical) Apprenticeship: Engineering maintenance technician – dual discipline (Level 3) Location: Kingswinford, Dudley (DY8) Kick-start your engineering career with hands-on experience in a growing, innovative global company. What you’ll do You’ll gain real, practical engineering experience from day one: Work alongside R&D engineers developing the Stiltz homelift range Build and test prototypes using 3D printers, CNC machines, and plasma cutters Support product testing against safety and performance standards Help record results and write simple technical reports See engineering in action through hands-on product builds and field installations Learn how products are developed from concept through to manufacture Training & qualification Engineering Maintenance Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship (Technical Support pathway) Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Delivered in partnership with City of Wolverhampton College Day release: 2 days per week in year 1, then 1 day per week thereafter (Bilston campus) Blended learning: college-based study + workplace training What we offer · Salary: £14,560 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age · 25 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays + 1 extra day off for your birthday · Life assurance & critical illness cover · Pension Scheme · Company Bonus Scheme · Enhanced Cash Health Plan · Wellbeing Program · Cycle to Work Scheme · Employee Referral Scheme · Fully supported induction and on-going training/development · Hours: Start 8am Finish 4pm (Friday 8am – 1pm) - 35 hours a week What we’re looking for Grade 4+ in GCSE Maths and English (Grade 5 preferred) Ideally studying or recently completed a Level 2 Engineering qualification Interest in engineering, design, or how things are made Enjoys hands-on practical work and problem-solving Willingness to learn, ask questions, and develop new skills Good communication and attention to detail Science or engineering subjects are helpful but not essential What you’ll get Real engineering experience in a professional R&D engineering environment Training, mentoring, and support from experienced engineers Hands-on use of modern manufacturing and prototyping equipment A supportive team in a growing, innovative global business Opportunities to progress into further qualifications and engineering careers Why join Stiltz?
