Class 1 HGV Drivers – Ad Hoc Work – Coventry 365 People are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Drivers on behalf of our client based in Coventry. This is ongoing ad hoc work with a well-maintained fleet and a variety of day and night shifts available. Ideal for drivers looking for flexibility rather than guaranteed block bookings. PAYE DRIVERS ONLY – pay rates between £16.50 - £18.00 per hour. Day Shifts * Start times between 05:00 – 06:00 * Curtainsider work * Typically 2-3 deliveries and a collection * Building site deliveries * Some handball may be required * Planned around 9 hours per shift * Minimum 8-hour guarantee Night Shifts * Start times from 19:00 * Trunking work to and from Holyhead Port * Fridge and box trailer work * Approximately 11-hour shifts * No port card required (photographic ID only) The Fleet * Modern Volvo, Scania and DAF vehicles * All automatic trucks Requirements * Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence * Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card * Ideally 2 years' experience (drivers with 12+ months may be considered) * No more than 6 points for minor offences * Comfortable with occasional handball duties * Reliable and professional attitude Induction Process All drivers must complete a short online Health & Safety assessment before starting.
