A unique exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced analyst/developer to operate at a senior level within the Library and Research Systems team of IS Business Systems at the University. You will bring your expertise to bear in delivering the University’s Library, enquiry, and IT Service Management (ITSM) systems. As an enthusiastic, innovative and experienced analyst/developer, with a mix of high‑level business analysis and technical skills, you will play a lead role in delivering these systems for the University.

Required experience

  • Specifying and implementing complex IT systems.
  • Business analysis including requirements gathering, translation, specification, and stakeholder‑driven prioritisation.
  • Process mapping, development and improvement using structured methodologies and toolsets.
  • Managing systems support and configuration.
  • Developing solutions in SQL.
  • Delivering system‑to‑system integrations.
  • Organising and leading customer‑focused meetings for managing change.

Desirable skills

  • JavaScript (Angular, React)
  • HTML5, CSS3
  • Microsoft toolsets for Teams, Power Automate, Power BI and SharePoint
  • Project management (Agile / Prince2)
  • Managing support and relationships with system suppliers
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes for IT incident and change management
