School Caretaker

Now Education is seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking School Caretaker to join our team and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities * Opening and closing the school premises daily * Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs * Ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and security of the site * Conducting regular health and safety checks * Managing heating, lighting, and alarm systems * Supervising contractors and deliveries when required * Assisting with room setups for school events and activities * Maintaining outdoor areas including pathways and playgrounds * Act as a duty key holder The Ideal Candidate Will: * Have previous caretaking, maintenance, or site management experience * Be practical and capable of carrying out basic repairs and maintenance tasks * Have good knowledge of health and safety procedures * Be dependable, organised, and able to work independently * Have excellent communication and teamwork skills * Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children We Offer: * A supportive and friendly working environment * Ongoing training and development opportunities * A rewarding role within a welcoming school community An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references will be required for the successful candidate in line with safeguarding requirements
