Join us as a Deputy Commercial Manager, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.The RoleAs the Deputy Commercial Manager, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, where you will provide commercial support to a diverse portfolio of projects, across multi-disciplined Integrated and Delivery Teams as required in accordance with the established Business and Commercial strategy. You will be working as an individual Commercial contributor across and in support of a broad Business Portfolio or as part of an Integrated Capture / Delivery Team where you will demonstrate general commercial acumen on tenders and contracts which are typically non-standard, of low to medium complexity, or supporting senior commercial staff on major projects, or new business campaigns.Your responsibilities will include:Personal Competence - An accountable self-starter, modelling responsibilityBusiness Competence - Develops and sustains customer relationship plans that lead to profitable, repeat businessInnovation Competence - Develops and implements commercial models that optimise value and mutual benefitDrafting, law and Practice Competence - Confident in a range of different agreements (pre-and-post award)Essential experience of the Deputy Commercial Manager:  Demonstrable experience in a Commercial setting from within a highly regulated industry such as Defence or AerospaceDesirable qualifications for the Deputy Commercial Manager:Degree educated or comparable work experienceAccredited to IACCM (WCC) member status or higherCIPS or MCIPS qualifiedWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.This role is 37 hours per week and is based out of our Bristol facility with an expectation of being onsite 3 days per week on average and will require travel to various QinetiQ sites such as Boscombe Down, Farnborough and Abbeywood.BristolThe QinetiQ facility in Bristol is part of the company’s broader operation focused on defence and technology innovation.
