Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Secondary School Westhoughton, Bolton £110 - £120 per day Start Date: September 2026 Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive Secondary School in Westhoughton, Bolton, for an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant who is looking to make a positive impact on the educational journey of young people. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive. The Role As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will: Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects. Provide targeted intervention and small group support to students who require additional assistance. Assist in the planning and preparation of learning resources and classroom activities. Support students with varying learning needs, helping them to remain engaged and make progress. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment. Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams and external agencies where required. Candidate Requirements Please note: Only applicants with previous school-based experience within the education sector will be considered for this role. The ideal candidate will: Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Teaching Assistant qualification, or a higher-level education qualification. Have previous experience working in a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA capacity within a UK Secondary School. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Secondary School curriculum and classroom practices. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be confident supporting students with a range of abilities and educational needs. Be proactive, adaptable and committed to supporting student achievement. Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
