Job Description: Job role- Roadside Recovery Driver Location- Exeter Rate- £17 per hr. via PAYE Shift - Mixed Shift (Monday - Friday, Evening, Morning, Afternoon & Night) Contract - End of Sept 2026 Job Description As our Roadside Recovery Driver, you'll go the extra mile for our customers. Anything can happen whilst driving, but it's OK we are the AA! We get everyone back on the road safely and get their day moving again. This is the job This is a great opportunity to be the friendly face of the UK's largest motoring organisation. To our customers, you're the superhero - ready for anything. You'll be supporting motorists by safely loading vehicles onto your truck and transporting both the vehicle and customer to a garage for repair or another required destination, in all weather conditions. Training will be fully provided at in Birmingham, with travel and stay provided by the company. What will you be doing? A communicator: Providing a calm, reassuring and professional service, ensuring customers feel safe and supported A self-starter: Working independently and as part of a wider team, travelling to different locations in all conditions A fixer/problem solver: Using your technical skills and experience to resolve a variety of roadside situations What do you need? To live within 25 miles / 1 hour travel of the depot (postcode included in the advert) A full Category C (HGV 2) driving licence (Category CE / HGV 1 desirable but not essential - support can be provided) A valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card Confidence adapting to new technology (full training provided) Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays Working pattern & benefits 40 hours per week, working Mixed Shift (Monday - Friday, Evening, Morning, Afternoon & Night) Night shift rota issued one month in advance If you remain with us until the end of the contract, you will be eligible for a completion bonus of £500-£1,000 If shortlisted, a recruiter from the team will contact you within 24-48 hours for an initial discussion.
