About the Job
As a Career Development Professional Teaching Assessor, you will deliver and assess the Level 6 Career Development Professional Apprenticeship Standard, alongside Level 3, Level 4, and standalone careers education qualifications where required.
You will support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey through a blended approach including remote coaching sessions, workplace support, teaching delivery, and progress reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging teaching, coaching, and assessment across Career Development Professional Apprenticeships
* Manage a caseload of learners, supporting achievement, retention, and timely completion
* Deliver high-quality teaching aligned with Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) expectations
* Support learners with Functional Skills, employability skills, and professional development
* Maintain compliant learner records using e-portfolio systems
* Work collaboratively with employers to tailor learning programmes to workforce needs
* Support quality assurance activities, standardisation meetings, and learner observations
* Promote Safeguarding, Prevent, British Values, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)
* Ensure delivery aligns with awarding body standards, ESFA funding rules, and apprenticeship compliance requirements
* Identify learner progression opportunities and contribute towards recruitment and achievement targets
Ideal Candidate
You’ll be an experienced Careers Education and Apprenticeship professional with strong teaching, coaching, and assessment experience within the Further Education and Skills sector.
You will ideally hold:
* A Level 6 qualification in Career Guidance, Careers Education, Learning & Development, or equivalent
* A recognised assessor qualification such as D32/33, A1, CAVA, or equivalent
* A recognised teaching qualification such as Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (DET), PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent
* Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and ICT
You will also have:
* Experience delivering Apprenticeship Standards and vocational qualifications
* Knowledge of End Point Assessment (EPA) requirements
* Strong understanding of Ofsted EIF, quality assurance, and apprenticeship compliance
* Experience supporting SEND, disadvantaged, or vulnerable learners
* Strong stakeholder engagement and employer relationship management skills
* Confidence using e-portfolio systems and Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent organisational and caseload management abilities
* Willingness to travel nationally when required
