We're working on a search for one of the UK's fastest-growing FinTechs in cross-border payments — multiple international offices, several regulatory licences, and rapid year-on-year growth. This is a newly created role sitting between the Financial Controller and the Finance Assistant. You'll own the day-to-day finance engine room in a fast-moving scale-up — freeing up the FC to focus on reporting, governance, audit and tax — while helping improve how the function runs as it scales.What you'll own:Month-end close, journals, reconciliations, accruals and prepaymentsAP/AR, payment workflows and commission calculationsMonthly payroll inputs and employee expensesBank and intercompany reconciliationsManagement accounts support and audit schedulesAutomating and streamlining the manual workWhat you'll need:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), ideally ~1 year PQEStrong grip on AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end and management accountsGood Excel (lookups, SUMIFS, pivot tables); Xero a plusSomeone who's trained somewhere rigorous and thrives in a scale-up — agile, hands-on, no egoHigh-performance culture that moves fast and rewards it, with profit share paid every year and growing.
