We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to support operations within our advanced manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems and production equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical equipment, machinery, and production systems. Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues using technical drawings, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Work closely with automation, design and electrical team to resolve technical issues and support process optimisation. Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation in line with company procedures. To work within DC Systems, in a cleanroom environment, on or with wet process equipment and / or automated assemblies etc. To lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electrical, pneumatic, automation, electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems. To assemble / modify systems and equipment according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components. To follow all company / customer health and safety, quality procedures. Provide technical support to ensure production targets are delivered and quality standards are maintained. To operate safely machines, drills, or other power tools as / when and where required What we are looking for: Essential: Have a recognised 3rd level qualification in an engineering discipline. Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Have transferable skills from a previous multi-skilled role. Experience of fault diagnosis on mechanical / pneumatic systems and repair. Possess a competency with general computer applications.
