Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational PRU Settings in Durham on a Temporary to Permanent basis, to start after May half-term. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.

About the Role:
· The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative Maths sessions that inspire pupils with a wide range of SEN and allows all pupils to make progress.
Working with Secondary aged pupils within a PRU setting who have SEMH of varying levels as well as challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis and in small Intervention groups
Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner
Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress
Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
