SRB Teaching Assistant - Cardiff
Are you an experienced and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? We are currently recruiting for a SRB Teaching Assistant to work within specialist resource bases in mainstream primary schools across Cardiff.
As a SRB Teaching Assistant in Cardiff, you will support pupils with a range of diverse and complex needs, helping them to access learning in a safe and inclusive environment. We work with multiple fantastic schools throughout Cardiff that have specialist resource bases and require both short-term and longer-term support. As a SRB Teaching Assistant in Cardiff, your role may vary depending on the needs of each school, offering a diverse and engaging working experience.
These roles provide flexibility, with opportunities ranging from day-to-day cover to longer-term placements. Schools in Cardiff often request the same SRB Teaching Assistant staff, allowing you to build strong relationships and enjoy consistent work.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with ALN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Help manage behaviour and support emotional wellbeing
Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environmentRequirements:
Experience supporting children with ALN in any setting
Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
