About the role
Are you an experienced finance professional seeking an immediate temporary role within a prestigious organisation? This is an excellent chance to support a well-respected institution, providing key management accounting assistance during a busy period.
Working in beautiful surroundings, this position will not only handle the management accounts, but will also assist with a range of other accounting tasks.
Please note, this is a full-time, temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis and will require a speedy start; lengthy notice periods cannot be accommodated.
Temporary Management Accountant Responsibilities
This position will involve, but will not be limited to:
Assisting with monthly management accounts to support financial oversight.
Reconciling monthly balance sheets to ensure accuracy of financial records.
Posting donation income and processing weekly bank payments including staff expenses, pension contributions, and grants.
Supporting accounts payable by posting invoices to the Mercury accounting system.
Assisting with accounts receivable tasks, including the preparation of sales invoices.
Reconciling corporate credit cards on a monthly basis.
Performing other financial tasks and providing support as required by the finance team.
Temporary Management Accountant Rewards
Competitive hourly rate, paid via the Allen Associates weekly PAYE payroll.

Temporary Management Accountant Experience Essentials
Extensive experience in a similar finance role, preferably within academia or comparable institutions.
Confidence in producing management accounts and handling financial reconciliations.
Qualified accountant or equivalent professional experience.
Knowledge of Mercury or similar financial systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with advanced functions like lookups and pivot tables.
Accurate financial record-keeping and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills, capable of prioritising tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
Location
Situated centrally, the office is easily accessible by public transport, with no on-site parking available. The work setting combines charm and tradition.
